Mayra Mora founded The Mora Law Firm in 2014. Part of her practice consists helping families going through divorce or custody issues. Ms. Mora understands that her clients need a strong yet compassionate person while going through some of the worst and most vulnerable times of their lives.
Ms. Mora’s practice also focuses on family-based immigration, asylum cases, deportation and removal defense. Being an immigrant herself, Ms. Mora understands that immigrants have rights and often times they need to be exercised with persistence and tenacity.
Part of her practice is centered around estate planning and guardianships. Ms. Mora takes the outmost care when planning the estate of you or your loved one or ensuring that guardianships are right for your loved ones.
Ms. Mora was born in Mexico City and lived most of her life in Maryland. Her mom is Mexican and her dad is Colombian. Both countries have a very special place for her and can identify with either culture. She relocated to Texas in 2013, where she has made Harris County her forever home. She lives with her two beloved rat terriers — Cuquita and Tati.
Ms. Mora believes in service ever since she was young. She has always strived to stand up for the underdog and give back to her community who oftentimes are underrepresented and do not have a strong voice.
